BIO - TEAM VOID & CHO YOUNG KAK (KR)
teamVOID is a collective of Junbong Song, Jaehyuck Bae, and Booyoung Seok. It is a media art group that tries to work from a systematic viewpoint on the fusion of art and technology. The team designs experimental systems through various media such as robots, interactive media, Kinetic Sculpture, and Light Sculpture and implements them as works. Youngkak Cho is active as a new media artist and works on the basis of his research on the possibility of system irregular operation and its merits. In this project, he designed a work planning and sound generating system, and worked together to make the sound and performance of the robot work together.
ROBOTIC INSTALLATION
Over the Air is a method that generates signals through data based on the world's air quality index, an industrial robot arm then reconstructs the data to generate a drawing and sound. This artwork reflects the reality that the correlation between future industries and environmental pollution arises. Through this, the viewer can experience the result of the assumption of the map drawn by the data contour of each city in audio-visual form.
