As part of the event QUEBEC DIGITAL ART @ NYC taking place October 22 to 24 in New York, ELEKTRA is pleased to co-present with FuturePerfect a New York edition of the International Marketplace for Digital Arts (IMDA) taking place October 23 at the Made in NY Media Center by IFP, and performances by Nicolas Bernier and Herman Kolgen on October 24, during the closing evening at The Knockdown Center.

The 16th edition of ELEKTRA, the International Digital Art Festival will be held May 13 to 17, 2015, at USINE C, which will be hosting three evenings of performances, promising the public an extraordinary experience. 9th edition of the International Marketplace for Digital Art (IMDA)

The 9th edition of the International Marketplace for Digital Art (IMDA), the festival’s professional stream, will take place at the Centre Phi, May 14 – 15, 2015. For two days, Quebec artists and organizations will meet professionals from the international scene (producers, agents, presenters, curators, journalists and event organizers) with a view to presenting their work around the world.

Inferno by Louis-Philippe Demers & Bill Vorn

Inferno is a robotic performance project by Philippe Demers and Bill Vorn. The specificity of this performance project resides in the fact that the different machines involved in the show will be installed on the viewers' body. The public will then become an active part of the performance. Depending of the kind of mechanism that they will be wearing, the viewers will be free to move or they will be in a partial or entire submission position, forced by the machines to act/react in a certain way. Some mechanical structures will coerce the viewers in performing certain movements; others will induce a physical reaction from them.

De choses et d'autres (bis) by Samuel St-Aubin

ELEKTRA and the Conseil des arts de Montréal on tour present De choses et d'autres (bis) by Samuel St-Aubin, an exhibit featuring a series of kinetic sculptures, underlining the playful aspect of everyday things. Selected objects and materials will be put to the test through exercises in balance, strength and randomness that reveal the poetic side of things that surround us and that often go unnoticed.
