ELEKTRA in Europe - Fall 2015
This fall, ELEKTRA is thrilled to present two events in Rome and Paris. With two months of exhibitions in the capital cities, ELEKTRA continues in its role as Québec’s ambassador of artistic talent and creativity, presenting several European premieres.
Québec Digitale Roma, from October 9 to December 6, 2015, features the works of eight Québec artists with the Digitalife exhibition Luminaria, as part of Romaeuropa. The audience will have the chance to see Louis-Philippe Demers and Bill Vorn’s performance and robotic installation Inferno, and Myriam Bleau will present her performance Soft Revolvers. Installations by Nicolas Bernier, Martin Messier, Samuel St-Aubin, Maxime Damecour and the well-known Blind Robot by Louis-Philippe Demers will be shown, as well as Jean Dubois’s interactive video Tourmente and a edition of the International Marketplace for Digital Art (IMDA).
Québec Digital Paris, from October 1, 2015 to January 31, 2016, is the Québec component of Némo, the International Biennial of Digital Arts - Paris/Île-de-France. Artists such as Herman Kolgen, Matthew Biederman, Alain Thibault, Myriam Bleau, Martin Messier, thisquietarmy, Michel de Broin, Samuel St-Aubin, Maxime Damecour, Bill Vorn and Louis-Philippe Demers will present an impressive selection of performances and installations. Not to miss: the highlight of this event will be at the CENT-QUATRE Paris on December 5.
